Bennett Schroeder Bradbury was born in 1914, in Wrentham, Massachusetts.
He died in 1991, in Carmel, California.
He studied at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA.
He taught art at the Laguna Beach School of Art and Design in Laguna Beach, CA.
In 1931, Bradbury enlisted in the United States Navy during which time he had the opportunity to observe the natural beauty of the ocean in many scenic locations. Years of witnessing the brilliance of the ocean and shorelines would later be translated to his many original seascape paintings. After completing his time in the service, he moved to California where he worked as an artist for Disney Studios.
He was a member of the Laguna Beach Art Association in Laguna Beach, California and lived most of his life in California apart from eight years in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii.
