Donald Roy Purdy, American (1924 - 2016)

Donald Roy Purdy was born in 1924, in Norwalk, Connecticut. He died in 2016, in Newtown, Connecticut.
He served in the US Army Air Force in WWII. After the war, he studied psychology at the University of Connecticut, and at Boston University. However, he decided to make a living as an artist and an art dealer. He was a gifted self-taught artist and taught art at Silvermine Academy of Art in New Canaan, Connecticut.
